I think I need a free popup stopper...help?
« on: February 17, 2003, 10:21:00 PM »
Will it work on those ANNOYING popups that I get when I go to my yahoo group? Seems like I click on a message to read, and I get a pop up and a message to click on the "continue" word in order to finally get to the message.

Any free popup stoppers for a mac that I can download, that will work on getting rid of those annoying popups in my yahoo groups?

Thanks, and HI to my buds at Tech Survivors!!!!

Smiles,
Sooz

I am using Safari, Apple's new web browser and it gives you the option to (block pop-up windows).

I love that feature, but on Internet Explorer as well as Netscape, (I use rarely) I still get the pop up windows when I use those web browsers.

There are a lot of good people on Techsurvivor that could help you out better than I can.  So good luck,

Tonye

WebWasher is a popup blocker that also blocks baner ads. It's free for non-commercial use.

Netscape 7.0.1 does a very nice job of blocking pop-ups. I haven't seen one since I've been using it and I started when it first came out.

It's a pop-up free life for me....toot toot!
