"So many toys...so little timemoney."

I went by the Apple Store this morning, soon after it opened. I needed a USB mic since I'm not sure when the sound system at church will be repaired. While there, I ran into a lady (in her early 60's, I'd guess) that I knew from our Mac User Group. Asking her what she was there for and expecting her to say something about a visit to the Genius Bar (or whatever they call it now), I was slightly surprised to hear her say she was there to buy an iPad! I asked her why she didn't wait till Christmas or even early next year since Apple is bound to lower prices or add features? "Oh, I thought about that, but I simply can't wait!" rofl.gif She knew she was drunk with the "kool-aid" but she didn't care! I guess that's why they give that kool-aid away? laughhard.gif With some major bills approaching (especially if that mixer has to be replaced by moi), I just bought the over-priced Blue Snowball and left the very crowded store behind. I wouldn't even stay long enough to touch one of the dangerous sirens from Cupertino! Even tried to avoid saying the name or looking at the dozens of drooling purveyors! scram.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

I will not look, I will not look, I will not looo.....

I'm trying to tell myself that I simply don't need it. tongue.gif

My MBP lives in the living room and gets used for surfing by family members all the time. Occasionally it actually does some work or goes on a trip. How would it feel if we abandoned it for a nice shiny iPad? tears.gif
