cd driver details

I was just wondering whether the apple system profiler should find a driver for my cd-rom or the description "Driver info not availiable" is a pretty standard answer

If it's an Apple driver it should give the details and most third party or external drives should be recognized. But it's possible it may not be able to interpret information  details. I have a couple peripherals that aren't even recognized by the ASP but work fine anyway.
