Anyone else feel the earthquake?
« on: June 23, 2010, 01:00:00 PM »
We just had a brief earthquake here in Toronto. Stuff started rattling and I could feel the house shaking. It was pretty widespread, judging from Twitter reports - Michigan, NYC, Ohio, Ottawa, etc.

Just heard about it on CNN, they were saying it was centered near Ottawa, didn't catch any exact location. Could it be that Senate, the House of Commons, the Prime Minister and the Supreme Court of Canada all agreed on the same thing at the same time? eek2.gif

Hudson Valley Feels Canadian Earthquake I didn't feel it at my home even though I live about 2 miles from the locations in that article.

Since I live in earthquake country, I have felt a lot of them since I've lived here.  Sometimes the neighbor down the street feels it intensely while I may just feel a slight rumble.

One thing, we all felt it pretty strongly on Easter Sunday when the big one hit near San Diego - I am about 70 miles from there. It was larger than the one in Haiti but there were few deaths here.
