Photo Booth ...
« on: July 12, 2010, 01:37:04 PM »
I rarely use photo booth, but I just picked up a new pair of glasses and wanted to take a quick picture to share with my kids. For some reason, although the picture will snap, and I can see what's been taken, there is no thumbnail version at the bottom from which to save or edit the picture. There is no option anywhere to "open with" or "save to" ...  wallbash.gif

Try moving the apps plist* file onto your Desktop and restarting Photo Booth. You could try changing the apps preferences, but I didn't actually see any Preferences to change! eek2.gif

BTW, what version are you using? Mine's 3.0.2 (119) but still has a 2009 copyright...

Ok ... tried the desktop plist thing ... nothing. Same problem. Trashed the plist .. nothing. Same problem. "Version 3.0.2 (119)"
Well, not a big deal, as I seldom use it; now, it is the principle. It should work.

sokukodo - You do not say what version of OS you are running but I have seen this same thing be attributable to a newer version of the Photo Booth file with an older version of MAC OS!  I think that I fixed one with either a "clean" install of the OS 10.n or a reinstall of the Photo Booth file.  Of course either thing I'm mentioning could also break the situation so you have a Photo Booth that is "not" working!  I'm wondering which thing does PLIST affect: the Preferences of the Permissions file?

I'm running 10.6.4 ... this isn't an issue that would necessitate a total re-installation of the operating system. I can live w/out Photo Booth.
