Pop-up window choices in Safari

After getting really annoyed that my online banking was always offline, I realized that it was only with Safari. Firefox worked, giving me the pop-up window I need to make payments. When I checked, I had at some time allowed pop-up windows for my bank and a couple of other websites, but apparently, Safari does not offer that option. It's all or nothing, as far as I can tell. Is that the case? I have Safari 5.

I'm looking into Safari "right now" trying to make it "pretend" to be Firefox!  Our webwacking coworker has done this on his but he is whitewater rafting!

Lorraine, as you have discovered, popups with Safari are an all or nothing proposition. It would be nice if Apple provided a bit more functionality than that, but your bank also has a very badly designed web site if it REQUIRES you to have popups enabled to work!! tongue.gif So far, I've rarely encountered sites that didn't work without popups - occasionally I just enable them temporarily.

Thanks, Paddy, then I'll just use Firefox -- I was trying to use Safari more lately, but I'll go back to FF.
