Strange message from iTunes

Just quit and then relaunched iTunes and it's been OK since.

Probably the majority, it's getting hard to find anything made in the USoA... rolleyes.gif

And yet, today's paper has an article about how great it is for America that China has this vast, expanding population that will become a 'market' for our industries...which industries? Certainly not the consumer goods area (cars, refrigerators, TVs, electronics, clothes, food, etc.)! All that stuff is already made off-shore 90% of the time. Just how will the US (or any other developed country) compete for China's consumers in areas they already beat the world in supplying? Even with transportation and tariff costs added! wacko.gif

Highmac: I think it really is in Chinese and someone used Monolingual to uninstall the characters on you!  It's actually singing the songs that you're asking it to play; possibly in an attempt to "translate" them for you!  This means there is "nothing" really wrong except with the Feng Shui of the situation!

I added the bit about "tranlate" above today (7/24/10) because it's what I originally was meaning to say; Sorry!

The fact that it "stopped" is the great thing.  I'm wondered do you have "remote" wireless or plain digital speakers hooked up?  Or maybe one of those USB type speaker systems (I'm sure someone is already selling them on MACs). This could be a message about a problem with just such a device and the driver has error messages in Chinese because it was written in China.  A lot of "Unix" type drivers are written around the world.  Just a speculation on my part!

The "remote speakers" are part of a Sony mini stereo system we use in the kitchen via Airport Express connected to the MD/Aux sockets. The message in its normal state turns up from time to time - I've never seen it like that before. Or since! smile.gif

Someone else I showed it to reckoned it had just ordered the full Peking banquet for two biggrin.gif
