Good Evening Gary,

You say you play the guitar.  Electric, Acoustic, Rhythm, Bass?

What kind of music do you like to play and do you sing, too?

As I stated before, I began to play the piano when I was three.
I learned only Classical Music, as my brother who was my teacher, decided that I should not be "corrupted" by other forms.  He thought that I should learn the best, from its' beginnings.
My other sisters were able to watch and sing popular music.  Later on,
my Father encouraged us to sing together.  There were nine children in my family, and we all loved music.  I was the only one who showed any interest in instruments.
I took Piano lessons,
when I had learned all that my brother could teach me.  To this day, I am so very grateful to him for cultivating my interest.  My sisters and I sang together for a few years.
I like almost all kinds of music now.  It has only been in the last six years that I joined my church choir.  My Choir Director is so gifted in music selection and we sing all kinds of music.  I wasn't sure if I would stay with it, at first, but I just loved it.  My Choir sings from September through June ordinarily.  This year, we have an extended calendar and will be singing through July 1st.
When my husband and I got married last September 7th, 2002, the whole Choir and Music Ministry came to do the music for the Wedding.  I chose almost all the pieces.  We rocked that Church.  Almost three hundred people were invited to the Wedding and they spoke about the music for months afterward.  It was a real celebration.  My husband's Father is a Deacon and he came in from out of state to perform the Marriage.  Both my husband I number many priests, deacons and sisters among our friends.  Naturally, we had them involved in the wedding ceremony as well.
We are a close knit parish family.  My church believes in helping the poor.  We run a Monday night Soup Kitchen, a Social Service Ministry and distribute food to those mothers who run out of Food Stamps or money to feed their children.
I am so privileged to be a part of such a loving and caring church.
They have been praying for me since thye learned of mybout with Cancer.
Hope to hear from you about your musical influences.

Evening Bill and Bernie,

I sing in a few languages pne of which is Spanish.  I chose among many, some Spanish pieces and some Gospel pieces for my Wedding music.  My entrance was to Canon in D.

Classical music will always be my first love, though.

Do either of you like music, sing or play an instrument?

As for Gary's singing, well, I 've never had the pleasure of hearing him.

Speaking of "Bonsai collection".
Did anyone know they were once redwoods till he opened his yap. smile.gif

Kelly,

I defer to your judgment.

Even though I love Bonsai, I won't ask.

My guitars:

1)HD-28V
2)D-35

I play all kinds of music but mostly country rock and blues.

And I can sing......I really can. all the times Bill heard me sing i had throat problems. biggrin.gif

As for bonsai trees well.......that's a different subject.

Good Morning Gary,
Nice guitars you have there.
I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar.  I tried to learn many years ago, but there weren't many people who could teach left handers how to play.
I love the Blues, mostly B.B. King.  He'll be on one of the networks this week and I'll be watching.
My children love country music, but it is more like the Dixie Chicks and contemporary country than "real grand ole Oprey" type.
As for the singing, Some of the TS members have been having a field day about that subject!
I like container gardening and have a few Begonia species, and also other more generic types  Unfortunately, I don't have the right environment for "true" Bonsai - too warm.
I have had to trim down my collection of plants due to the problems with my hands.  It wouldn't be fair to have them and not repot, trim, water and feed them under the present circumstances.

Take care of your voice its a great sensitive instrument!
