The daily photo thread - part 2
« on: October 30, 2010, 09:33:18 PM »
We ran with this last year (linky), and it was enjoyable. Thought we'd give it another try, especially since I've got these photos to show off and no place to go with them.  tongue.gif

Must admit, this isn't an easy subject to look at -- but I was fascinated with being able to see this beautiful creature (Female Golden Crowned Kinglet) up so close. Even in death his her colors are pretty.

I love this old truck, and had a lot of fun turning a nice picture into a ... work of art?

edited because my friend identified the bird.

Kimmer, I am more impressed by the little birds than the big ones; they're like a small work of art, that little spray of yellow on top of his head.  Wow!  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, gunug. I also am fascinated by the little tiny birds and they seldom sit still long enough to really see them.

My friend identified the bird for me and I was way off. It's a Female Golden Crowned Kinglet (so I had the species and sex wrong). Not sure what that says about me. tongue.gif

Not mine, but they are certainly interesting! All you need is a camera, tripod, image editor, lots of time and a slightly bizarre brain! rofl.gif

And if that process was to big for you, try this:
