Working backwards, George - have you tried removing the .plist that it's complaining about? It will be recreated - you will lose some website cookies, of course - but that may correct that problem.

As for the other bit - the "FSResolveAliasWithMountFlags" - sounds like something in your startup items is wonky. Do you have "CleanMyMacHelperTool in there? If so, I'd take it out of your startup items and see if that helps. Not sure about the GrowlHelperApp either...

Also, have you repaired permissions and also run Verify Disk (just to be sure there aren't any directory errors)?

Frankly, that's one of the easiest to read log files I've seen. Unfortunately, it still doesn't help me! blush-anim-cl.gif It is obvious that the Finder crashed, but I think that is simply the end result of all the previous errors. Some of the other lines are basically reports of what some app did. But deleting a .DS_Store file is hardly a problem, especially from a thumbdrive. But these reports are not really made for mere users to understand, anyway.

But, if you see any particular app appearing in a series of logs, that might be a good place to start moving plists to a "Removed plist" folder and then do a Restart to get a clean one.

However, since you have several third-party "Startup Items" in your account, try logging in/starting up in another account, especially one that has nothing but the standard Apple stuff in it. Then run FF and see how things go.

DW ok...permissions ok too, removed the  bad .plist
Gonna try to look more precisely to crash logs to see if there's an application involved to trash the .plist .

Thanks for the infos

I don't know of any app that removes Firefox plists but you can do it manually.

Firefox stores preferences, bookmarks, etc. in a way that is not kosher as far as Apple apps are concerned. Look in ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox to see all that stuff (a ton of it). You can play with those things by quitting Firefox, moving a likely culprit to the desktop, launching Firefox, and then seeing what happens. That way, you can always put the file back instead of trashing it.

Was that in your regular account or after you logged into a 'testing' account?

Make sure browsers are closed and try removing:

/Users/georgesrodi/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/Cookies.plist

/Users/georgesrodi/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/Cookies.plist

Could not find it.

In the application Support  folder there's no Webfoundation, whith a find , shows only " com.apple.WebFoundation.plist" that i removed , but no  Cookies.plist

Where could it be?

Did you look in the right Library? I have that folder and file (dated 2003 so it's not peculiar to Snow Leopard). You may have looked in the Library at the root level of the drive rather than the one in your home folder (where it should be).

In addition, see this FineTunedMac thread in case you decide to bite the bullet.

Home library folder...

application support...nothing about  WebFoundation

Search  : nothing also about  WebFoundation or Cookies.plist

The only thing found yersteday was      com.apple.WebFoundation.plist , removed now

Must be well hidden... how to find it?

Interesting choice of wording in the crash report:

QUOTE
The file name for this data could be:
/Users/georgesrodi/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/Cookies.plist

Does that mean it might NOT be? Enquiring minds want to know...

I don't have that WebFoundation folder either, Jon, and according to this thread on the Apple discussions, it's not there by default:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...=0&tstart=0

Maybe you should try an archive and install, George. Looks like it can be a difficult problem to solve for some reason or other.

Archive and install... sweatingbullets.gif

Never done it..would be the last  solution if i don't find another.

The crashs are always from Firefox (speening wheel ) , Safari..
one time had a kernel  whith the  mac Screensaver  in random pictures mode

Seems also  always related to browsers  ,sometimes crash  watching  videos... never  in other programs

Is there maybe an update for the vidéo card ?

Archive & Install is a piece of cake. I have never had to do it for myself (knock wood) but I did it for a neighbor after exhausting all other remedies. I checked the box to preserve user settings and let it go. 40 minutes later, everything came up as it had been and everything was working. Nothing was lost and she was a happy camper.

The only extra work involved using Software Update to get her back to the latest OS version, as well as other versions of Apple software that had been updated since the original installation.

Let me add one more thing:  Run a directory check before you A&I. You can use Disk Utility's Repair Disk function or, better still, use a third-party utility. Disk Warrior is my favorite but Drive Genius and TechTool Pro are also good choices. If the directory is damaged, A&I may make matters worse, possibly necessitating Erase&Install. You definitely don't want to have that happen. E&I is a royal PITA.

It may be totally unrelated but go into your System Prefs and open Growl and turn it off.  See if that makes any difference. I had to disable it on my setup because it was causing problems including crashing some apps.

Regarding cookies, there are many related to Firefox.  As Jon said, your Profile in /Users/georgesrodi/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/(odd number and letters-default)/  will contain a few files related to cookies.

They are:
cookies.sqlite
cookies.sqlite-journal
permissions.sqlite

More info on Firefox files in Profile folder:  http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Files

There is also a general plist for Firefox:  /Users/georgesrodi/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist though I doubt it is involved.
