Had'em, Lost'em, Need'em
« on: June 21, 2003, 07:53:28 PM »
Sister-in-law 'inherited' son's Apple StyleWriter 4500 and I thought I had saved the print drvers 'someplace' BUT evidentially not wallbash.gif
SO, if one of you good people could point me in the right direction, I would be ever so appreciative   thanx.gif

I've been to Apple and through Google, but with out any luck.

TIA,  Bob K

According to Mactracker, the StyleWriter 4500 is a Hewlett-Packard printer 'based upon thr HP DeskJet 600 series'.  Maybe you could get drivers from H-P's website.

Um...just looked it up on Google - "Apple StyleWriter 4500 driver" and got quite a few listings. This driver at Versiontracker appears to be the most recent:

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/424

And if you need anything earlier, or info:

http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersof...ftwarelist.html

Scroll down to the section of printer drivers - it's in the "Stylewriter 4000 series" driver section.

thanx.gif  thanx.gif

All I ever came up with was for cartridges.   Knew it was an H-P 'look-alike', but not sure which one...
Thanks for the assistance, Now I need to get it installed on her old SI and see how it works.   She's running 7.5.5 w/ about 17mg and on  a very slow dial-up.  Think she needs a complete upgrade. BUT she's 'comfortable' with this ......

Thanks again.

You already have it it seems, but HP does store it's drivers online.
I once had to go look for OsX driver for HP Deskjet 930.

Here it is: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/eng/softw...are_drivers.htm
