I bought AnyCam (Samsung) in Dubai UAE in 2000 and later found out the software had yellow dust on it.

Tried it tonight again on my ibook 10.2.6 will not register on AVichat.

Beware of buying things in airport duty frees

I don't think iChat AV will see USB cams, only FireWire. I tried using my Sony Video Cam in USB streaming mode and iChat did not see the camera, worked great using FireWire.
