Norton SW 3's here

Oh man... after 2 weekends of reinstalling OSX, 9, troubleshooting RAM, biting fingernails... I've removed the Harmoni 600 mHZ upgrade and everything works...including Norton! I'm going to take a loss on a restocking fee with Small Dog, and maybe get a digital camera. There are still a few ants around... biggrin.gif

"I did not know that. So, you make a bootable copy of Norton's with 9.2.2 on it and you can use Disk Doctor and Speed disk on OS 10.2.6?"

Yes. As long as you have a suitable system to make the cdr bootable.
As I've stated before,I use speed disk only.
Suppose you could use disk doctor on X but I never have and most likely never will.
Way too many horror stories.

chuckwagen.
The brite side is at least you've pinned down what was going on. <gr>

I just ran Speed Disk 6.03 yesterday. It said I had 79 MBs of Free Space. huh.gif

Contiguous Free Space that is. Severe Fragmentation.

I run it from my OS 9.x only Partition.

I also use a custom defragmentation profile for OS X mentioned here.

http://www.macattorney.com/tutorial.html#Anchor-32647

I've used it before with 10.2.2 . I was a little leary of it with 10.2.6

But I used it and it all worked out. smile.gif

Because I'm such a kind, obedient, trustworthy, helpful, friendly ... forgot the rest of that boyscout jive ... person, I took a snapshot of a bootable cd while in X showing norton blah blah.On that bootable are others like TTP,DiskWarrior, disk first aid blah blah.
Rebooted while holding the 'C' key and checked with TTP,ran speed disk and then checked what DW had to say. DW was well within my tolerance allowed so didn't run it.

Gary S,this has been talked about (posted) a gazzion times in the past by several folks on several threads at TS alone.
Beginning to wonder about your attention span sir. smile.gif
