The background of the banner reminds me of a funny personal story in the 80s. My wife bought me a new tie with a paisley pattern, which was new at the time. I had never heard of the word paisley. One day when I wore the tie, someone made a comment about the tie pattern and I told them it was a parsley pattern.

Thats funny, My husband dislikes clothing that is parsley/paisley too.
I got him a beautiful paisley shirt when we were first married, he never would wear it, and when our kids got old enough, he gave it to one of them to wear as a smock in art class.

They did make paisley wallpaper, not sure if they still do. This wallpaper was in our old house and we didn't put it up, it was there when we bought the house. We did, however, take it off the walls! Original owners had bedspread and drapes that matched the wild stuff. UGH!
