Apple is on a ROLL
« on: March 14, 2012, 12:37:00 PM »
WOW, AAPL is going up like crazy!

This is what I think is going on, its only a wild guess, but first I must say that we are not entirely happy with Comcast for our TV stuff.
We want a-la-carte so we wouldn't have to have this enormous line up of stupid stations that nobody in the entire family ever watches.

So I am taking a guess that APPLE is going to kick some amazing butt in the Television industry within a year or so.
Thinking that they are on the cusp of a revolutionary change in how TV is delivered to us!

There are a variety of substantial reasons Apple stock is climbing so rapidly:

• The iPhone 4S popularity since released
• The future release of the iPhone 5
• The iPad HD wild reviews and sellouts
• The wild popularity of the iPhones (two of my daughters have them and love them)
• And two of my next-door neighbors (How many people do you know that have iPhones?) They're everywhere!!
• The continued popularity of the iMacs
• And as Jane suggested, the new Apple TV, altho we don't know for sure yet what that portends
• Apple introduces devices that are unique and offer great value to the user
• The products are dependable and well constructed

But I think even bigger reasons are:

• The explosive growth of Chinese and other emerging markets
• The increasing penetration of the iPad into the commercial marketplace - this also has the benefit of bringing along Macs
• The acceptance of the iPhones into businesses (again a benefit of bringing along Macs)
• The fact that some companies are adopting the iPad and iPhone for their travelling and sales employees

Maybe some of the company IT Directors are starting to get the message that Apple builds high quality products that could make their jobs easier. However there is that thing called job security!

My brother and his wife converted to Macs from PeeCee's a couple of years ago and wouldn't even think of going back!
They don't miss the viruses and other problems they used to have.

Apple knows how to make a frenzy develop out of their products!

And probably a lot more reasons.

BTW, Apple is trading down since around 1:30 today. And up
But that is not extraordinary considering their meteoric rise over the last several months.
And the almost wild fluctuations in the stock price.

I am an Apple fanatic, and have been since using their products in the early 90's at work and at home.
And especially since buying their stock in '96, against all brokers and naysayer's advice.
I just had faith in their quality products, and the lack of value in the competitors products.
(You all know who I'm talking about here).

There will be corrections to the stock price, and there will be ups and downs.

And the analysts are still predicting good things to come! Altho sometimes I think they just go with the flow.

Just hang in there!

Eat your heart out Michael Dell.

I just heard from my brother that his brother in law who used to work for Al Gore many years ago, has heard the same thing,,,,,,,,TV industry, here it comes within a year maybe, and the consumer will jump with joy.

My Comcast bill went up 8 dollars 2 months ago, and I just got the bill today for last month, and its up about 10 this time.
I think they just KNOW something is going to happen. But why keep overcharging us?  Maybe they know we will leave anyway if and when this happens.
