Thanks, Frances, for these beautiful photographs. Truly, as you say, "a wonderful place." Is this St. Andrews the home of the famous golf course?

I would love to visit Scotland again. My ancestral home is the area around Moffat. But at age 82, my traveling days are about done.

Sending the young'uns off to school is an emotional experience. Our youngest granddaughter entered college this fall.

Nice photos! Thanks for the trip.  My sister and niece visited Scotland last April but I have yet to see all their pics. Hmmm. dry.gif

That tidal swimming pool looked really interesting but I can only imagine how cold that water must be.  eek2.gif

Such beautiful photos!
Both my husband's and my ancestors are from Scotland too, and Im the only one in our family who hasnt been there, except for our youngest daughter and our grandkids.
Yeah, cold water, not for swimming for me. We will be in Maine and New Hampshire for a while, and the water up there is a nothankyou for me, but its still warm enuf here on Cape Cod to swim.

Lovely photos indeed. I recognise most of the locations, but  since I live about 20 miles away that's not really surprising wink.gif

The next time you're down you should pay a visit to the East Neuk. Really picturesque fishing villages etc. Great for photographers. You can also get a World Famous Fish Supper in Anstruther.

If you have the time pop down to Glenrothes on your next visit I'll show you some of my favourite country pubs wink.gif  One of them is where Neils' dad came from!!!
