Firmware updates
« on: September 20, 2012, 10:36:45 AM »
While updates to apps can break an app and System updates can break the OS doh.gif ,firmware updates can break the whole computer!
1. Always make sure you have a bootable backup before performing a firmware update
2. Wait a few days/weeks before making the update, let any problems appear and get fixed
3. Make sure a laptop is NOT running solely on its battery, use the AC adaptor
4. Carefully read and follow any and all on-screen instruction

All the updates below state you need 10.7.4 or 10.8 or better.
