My son has a G3 laptop using system 10.2. He is planing to get his first digital camera. He is a little worried that he has a USB 1, not a USB 2 port which he fears may
make his computer incompatible. Is this of any concern for the new cameras?
Thank you. ilw-00

Well, his laptop has USB1, no matter if it's G3 or G4.
His digital camera SHOULD work fine with it...as far as I know, there aren't any USB2 cameras and few Firewire ones.
Which camera?

May I suggest a card reader (inexpensive) which vastly simplifies and speeds up picture transfer?
BTW, usually USB 2.0 items are backwards compatible to 1. Just read the specs on the camera or reader to be sure.
