Finally a use for Mission Control
« on: July 03, 2014, 09:35:32 AM »
Never used Mission Control intentionally, but have accidentally, a time or two. But I went ahead and read the entry at <MacIssues> anyway. What I actually learned was another way to access hidden windows by using the Dock! right/control-click or just click and hold the mouse on an icon and you'll get several items in the pop-up menu. The one that might be useful is a list of all the open windows in that app! I didn't know that! wink.gif

OK! One down, ~2,720,645 to go... and those are just in the OS! eek2.gif

Welcome Aboard, Kate!

Please take a few moments and add some info about your Mac(s). It often makes getting an answer quicker since we don't have to take up time asking what model, OD version, installed RAM, HD size, etc. Don't usually need things like screen size or number of CPU cores, of course. And jump over to the "Community" side and introduce yourself, if you want. Nothing personally identifying, but stuff like how long you've used a Mac (kinda assume you do!), what you use it for, etc. No need to ever use your email address here, either. We have a "Private Messaging" system where you can speak to people just by clicking on their screen name in a post. But remember, it's just like regular email, in the sense that nothing on the web is really 'private'!

Admins: I seem to remember that new members can't use something here until they’ve posted a minimum number of times. Is the PM system one of those things? I'll do some searching tomorrow. On this side of the world, it's about time to put this machine to sleep! laughhard.gif

Welcome, Kate!

Profile info, I should fix mine. rolleyes.gif

I did know about the right click on the dock icon (very handy), but must admit that I've never used Mission Control, other than clicking the F9 key by accident and then freaking because I didn't know what I'd done. tongue.gif
