NASA announces instruments for the next Rover
« on: August 01, 2014, 04:39:26 PM »
Noticed that NASA assumes that Martians may not be good at removing trash or cleaning up after themselves! Seems a rather defamatory characterization just because they are a vanished species. inspect.gif I expected better from these scientists... I base this opinion on the description of SHERLOC:
QUOTE
There are two instruments that have the potential to pick up indications that Mars once hosted life. One is a camera dedicated to studying minerals (SuperCam), which will also be able to detect organic chemicals. That will be joined by Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman & Luminescence for Organics and Chemicals (SHERLOC), which can study the composition of samples using a UV-laser and detect organic compounds.
Just because there may be pieces of the package wrappers blowing around or even bits of unconsumed noodles found, doesn't mean Martians were slobs! We sometimes have dirty dishes in the sink for weeks!! eek2.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!
