Using a Robot to judge the taste of Thai food!
« on: September 30, 2014, 09:52:37 AM »
The taste of food is something we all think of as subjective; I know that this is the case with apple pie:

QUOTE
Hopscotching the globe as Thailand’s prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra repeatedly encountered a distressing problem: bad Thai food.

Too often, she found, the meals she sampled at Thai restaurants abroad were unworthy of the name, too bland to be called genuine Thai cooking.
The problem bothered her enough to raise it at a cabinet meeting.

Her political party has since been thrown out of office, in a May military coup, but her initiative in culinary diplomacy lives on.

I'm thinking we should have former presidents weigh in on food at county fairs and develop robots to do the heavy lifting er tasting! rolleyes.gif

laughhard.gif At least if robots made many of the 'decisions' made by politicians, we'd know there was some logic in it! yes.gif

I'm not sure anyone should bother with tasting their own cultures food anywhere other than in their homeland. Try something from the country you are in! doh.gif

SORRY, I missed this picture the first time through and a picture paints a thousand words; even in the language
of the Thai!

I think the only thing we've learned is that too many of us have bad taste. rolleyes.gif Where are the Groan King and Queen when we need them. Groaner.gif Never thought I'd ever be saying that! laughhard.gif
