Converting Apple Audio to MP3 files

If I go back to my old 10.6.8 and iTunes 11 I can convert files to MP3 so I can burn them onto an MP3 CD to play back on my car stereo.  Anyone using a app or process to do this?

I'm on the road (actually, I'm in a car which is on a road), and I turned of my iMac before we left yesterday. But I seem to remember that enabling MP3 saving was done by changing the Import settings. Is that option now removed? :done:

If so, I'd just search the MAS site. wink.gif

Thanks XABD, as counterintuitive as that seems it's exactly correct at least on my Macbook Pro (which has version 12 of iTunes as well).  I can't try it on the work desk computer because when I got to work the power was out in the whole neighborhood!
