"Jane's Addiction"?
« on: July 25, 2003, 03:48:23 PM »
I just bought the new Jane's Addiction album, "Strays", and it plays fine on my CD player, but when I put it in my computer, it'll play for awhile, and then gives me this "Something appears to be wrong with this disk. . .", but it does it in different places.  Now, I understand that some companies are trying to use copyright protection,BUT, there is a multimedia portion to it also, which leads me to believe that that isn't the reason.  Anybody else experienced this? I have a few CD's that would vibrate my mac like you wouldn't believe. Upon reading the fine print it would say to the effect that they are copy protected (I wasn't trying to copy) any way I got my money back and have not purchased a new CD since. My Mac is the only source I use for music. The copy proof info is usually in very fine print around the perimiter of the label. I no longer will have anything to do with the RIIA. Now I just bootlege from poisoned.com  biggrin.gif
