Mac Microphone
« on: July 26, 2003, 02:47:07 PM »
I downloaded iChat AV yesterday and now I'd like to get a microphone that works well with a desktop model Mac. I have an older microphone plugged in right now, but it's not functioning. It's either bad or the plug in is.

Any help on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Labtec. It has a square base and a 10" adjustable boom. It seems to work fine. It cost about $30.

Incidentely I have never gotten ichat av to work, probably because I am on dialup. The mic works great for everything else tho.

Then there's this. smile.gif

ViaVoice for Mac OS X for $70

"...the free microphone included with this package is the Plantronics DSP-300 headset, which normally retails for around $50 by itself."
