Really, really fascinating. Having been up close to a dead whale in my my neck of the woods, I'm proud of you for being so brave—and I'm glad you had a cold and couldn't smell her because, trust me, that is an odor that is hard to get out of your system (and I can still still call it to memory and my tummy flips).
