Hello from Dick Peairs
« on: February 20, 2017, 02:25:19 AM »
Called Dick a few days ago to wish him a Happy Birthday and we had a nice chat.

I promised to pass on his regards to "anyone who might remember the old guy". I assured him that there were many at TS who not only remembered but who thought of him frequently and fondly. We owe him a lot.   notworthy.gif

I had the honor of meeting Dick at the Ohio gathering a few years back. Great guy! We do, indeed, owe him a lot for helping to get TS underway. Wishing him well.

We remember Dick well.

We've always been most grateful for his help when we visited the west coast in 2001. Please wish him well for Caroline and myself.

have just spent the last half hour talking to Dick ( which I do at least once a fortnight) on subjects ranging from US politics to his granddaughters wedding in July. His speech may rather slow but his mental capacity is still reasonably sharp, I passed on the good wishes of TS which he much appreciated.

Had a 45 minute talk with Dick yesterday. He is his usual witty and generous self despite his physical problems. He said he is planning on moving to an assisted living arrangement in the near future which may provide more amenities for him. He has 24/7 help now but I would imagine being in a setting where he could communicate regularly with others might be more stimulating for him.

He asked about TS of course and sends his best to all the old-timers and regulars.

Wow - glad to hear that you talked to Dick the other day, Kris! I hadn't checked on this side of the forums for a while - so hadn't seen this thread somehow. Oops. Anyway - give him my best when you talk to him again! Does he still do email?
