"How to Win or at Least Not Lose the War on Phishing"

Many researchers (and security companies) are trying to create machine learning to get a better handle on Phishing schemes. The results are available to other companies but of little direct use by mere mortals. The bottom line is still the old "Never, Ever click a link in an email". That might need to be expanded to "Never, Ever click ANY link!" because bogus sites are looking more and more like the real brand's site. Some sites even have SSL certs (that causes the browser to display the (usually) green 'lock' icon in the url/location box! :wallbash:

Just remember your security (and personal information) is your own responsibility. Don't depend on a spoofed certificate or what is displayed on your screen. Check and double-check every link. In the end, simply use a valid, verified bookmark to visit the brand's site and proceed from there.

Mobile use is even more dangerous; people are usually more distracted when using them. Proof? How many states have laws against driving and mobile use? How many vids of people walking into objects while gazing at these devices do you have to see? :coolio: :whistling: Distracted users are easier to fool!
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!
