World Clock...
« on: September 25, 2018, 06:09:28 AM »
I "assume" this is the little dashboard widget? I'd put it in my notification centre however I can NOT get it to go off Cupertino. It has Calgary on the dashboard, anyone know what's with the thing?

If it's the "World Clock" I'm thinking about it's a simple app that's been around for several years. If it has any prefs, I'd check there for "settings". Where did you get it? Was it a trustworthy site? Did it not have a text file in the bundle where most small apps have an explanation of what it does. :dntknw: It may just use your System clock for it's "local" time/location.

It's the silly little dashboard widget. It's available in notifications but I cannot get it off Cupertino but it is on Calgary if I put it on my Dashboard.

I have no idea what or where the macOS "dashboard" might be. :dntknw:

Launch your dashboard, then on the World Clock there is a little tiny i, click on the i and the clock flips. There should be dropdown menus available. Select what you want and click done.

Thanks kimmer... I could always get that to work with the widget on the dashboard but in the notifications it seemed stuck on Cupertino. However... I finally did what I should have done and put it in the notifications and THEN click on the miniscule letter "i" at which point it allows you to choose another city. So you get the one/s you want and get rid of Cupertino. Whatever you might have on the dashboard doesn't affect the one in the notifications at all. :)

Just realized that "Dashboard" is still in the OS! I thought that reference to "widget" reminded me of something on the Mac... I'm surprised they are still supported!

Oh yes! They are there, and from what I see more popular than ever. Mostly on iPads and iPhones... there's a widget for everything in the App store, even bundles of them!
