macOS 10.14.2 is now available

But don't look for it in the App Store. Instead, ope System Prefs and select "Software Update". You may see you are up-to-date, but wait a few seconds and Apple will "hear" you asking and you will now have an "Update Now" button. Details are at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209149.

BTW, the Combo updater, which I will be using, is here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1987?locale=en_US

No rush, I'll wait a few days to see how you bleeding-edgers do (and hopefully report any problems).

If you haven't updated to Mojave macOS 10.14 yet, you should still be getting a Security update for macOS 10.13 High Sierra and macOS 10.12 Sierra as well as an update to Safari. Those should be in then App Store.

I updated via the Combo Updater and all seems to be fine. I had an unexpected development in that Entourage 2008 had added another identity, which I deleted. Also, TinkerTool System opened upon restart when the update was completed. I haven't seen anything else untoward.

I'm running macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and ran the security update earlier this morning. For good measure I restarted afterwards, and then discovered that I'd lost a few texts. They show on my iPad, but not my iMac. Hope this isn't an omen. ;)

They should also be in your TM or cloned backups, which you made just before running the updater... right? ;)

Strange, or do you have it doing some background checking?

I don't have TTS doing any background checking, and this is the first time that it happened.

No and yes. I'd just run the update and told my iMac to restart, when a couple of texts arrived. Rather then stop the restart, I figured I'd read them in a bit--but they've not shown up. They are on both my iPad and iPhone, but not my iMac. Weird.

I came across this article from a link at FineTunedMac and it may be of interest:
A List of Apps Having Problems Running In MacOS Mojave. It has several suggestions for cures.
