Earlier this year I posted that my iPhone was not synching photos to one of my 2 Mac devices properly. I couldn’t find a solution.
Now I’m asking again, cause here’s a bit of an update that might help. Hope someone can make sense of all this…
My iPhone 8 photos synch totally and always with my MBP like they should.
In January, 2018 they stopped syncing to my 24" iMAC when I went on a holiday.
(Not sure if this happened from some setting I changed on my iPhone. And I’m still not sure if this is an iCloud issue or not.)
In June my photos started synching again until September when that stopped. :-(
Here is the info on the devices…
—- iPHONE 8:
iOS 12.1
Qty: 16,847
When I go to "My Albums”, it shows under “All Photos” - 17,399
Q. Why is there a difference in quantity?
—- MB PRO. MacOSX10.11.6.
Photos v1.5
Bottom of window - “16,881 Photos. Updated just now”
—- 24” iMAC:
iMac OSX10.10.5
Photos 1.0.1
The text at the bottom of the Photos window shows -
“16,546 Photos. Uploading 1,322 items”
Q. Where are those photos that might be uploading?
FYI: In my System Prefs /iCloud/Photos - I’ve got all 3 boxes checked -
Photo Library, Photo Stream, Photo Sharing.
In my System Prefs /iCloud/Manage Storage/Photo Library -
“16,847 photos stored in iCloud”.
There’s a discrepancy in the number of photos.
In Photos/Preferences/iCloud Photo Library - “Download Originals” is checked.
Q. What can I do to make ALL my iPHONE photos sync with my iMAC?
BEST OF THE SEASON TO ALL TS FOLKS!
