Chopin enthusiast needed
« on: October 27, 2019, 11:05:32 AM »
Hello, TS— It’s been a while—I am trying to identify the title of this piece of a piece by Chopin. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Thank you, Kimmer, it’s close but not the exact piece. Thank you for looking!

My other thought was one of his Nocturnes.

Yes, my son thought it was might be a Nocturne, but we were trying to  identify exactly which it is.

I don't have a keyboard to play it for inspiration, but tonight is music practice at church and I've printed it out and will have the pianist play it and see if any of us can ID it. I'll let you know.

Have you tried an app like PlayScore? I assume you can print the image a bit larger than the uploaded one.

Thanks Jim! I’ll check out that app if Kimmer’s church group can’t identify it.

We all agree that it's familiar, but none of us could name that song. Sorry.

It would probably help to have that show's theme song playing in the background.

OTOH, maybe these guys can help!  :dntknw: :no2: :whistling: :sos: :scram:

I will drag my arse over to the grand piano and have a play and see if I recognise it. Failing that..... I have friends!  :coolio:

It’s a big black box with one side severely curved all the way around the long end. One of the two straight sides has a lid covering some mostly white tabs interspersed with some black ones. Note: No two black tabs touch another one. It will be easier to use these tabs by raising that long narrow lid to its open position. Note 2: The main volume control is another lid that covers the top of the box. Be careful opening either of the lids! The big one is quite heavy!

You've been watching Airplane again. I also rank it as one of the funniest movies ever made. Some of my other candidates are Young Frankenstein, Some Like It Hot, The Great Race, and The Princess Bride.

Love, love, love Airplane.

If I catch it on tv, I stop everything to watch and laugh at the same jokes.  The names "surely, don't call me Shirley". Banging the guitar over everyone's heads. The creepy captain.... everything. I adore it.
