I have double-checked my System Prefs->Keyboard / Shortcuts settings and Save as file shortcuts are still shift-command-3 and shift-command-4 for full screen and selected area shots, respectively. :wallbash:

Going to check Mail and see if there is something there that may have started 'intercepting' these images. Only apps I've updated in the last few weeks is Default Folder and URLMPro. If nothing shows up there, I'm going to try a re-boot. :dntknw:

OK, I think I found the problem, it is between my ears! :blush-anim-cl: For some unknown reason last week (I think), I used shift-command-5. That is a handy method of setting the size of the capture for a series of captures, in the exact same area [not to be confused with the 'nearly-the-same area], multiple times. The other reason to use it is to set where screen shots are saved and other added functions. Did you notice that "where... saved"? Somehow, someone broke into our house and used that shift-command-5 method and changed the save to setting to Mail!!! :WOW: I'd call the local police but they are probably closed at this hour. I guess I am going to have to re-instate the 'password required' function on my iMac! You just can't trust anyone these dayz!!!

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

On another forum, my sign-off is "If only we could put an extra memory stick in our heads as we get older.... "

You are very welcome to share it ^_^
