How far can I upgrade my iMac and Safari ?

I'm still using my old 24" iMac primarily for my graphic design work in my semi-retirement years . Haven't transferred my work files to my new 27" iMac yet due to the fact that my Adobe CS6 applications won't work on the newest Mac OS.
(Not interested to buy a monthly Adobe subscription forever!)

Can I upgrade my 24" iMac OSX from 10.10.5 to 10.13.6 somehow, which I believe is the last version that will allow me to use my CS6 apps? Mine is a very reliable Mac, and I really don't want to mess with it and NOT be able to access my design files.

Also, can I upgrade my iMac's Safari 10.1.2 to something newer, as this version doesn't seem to open some websites.  When that happens I use Firefox which seems to do the trick. It's just that I have a lot of bookmarks on Safari.

According to MacTracker, the maximum OS for your iMac is 10.11.6. FWIW, I subscribe to Photoshop CC and the cost is minimal, namely $10.79 per month, paid automatically from my PayPal account. Although I abhor Adobe's subscription policy, I bit the bullet. The improvements to Photoshop (especially in the Selection options) are worth the price of admission to me.

Thanks jchuzi. I hear you about Photoshop CC. However, I also have to do the same for Illustrator and InDesign. Now it gets more expensive when I am only doing one or two design projects a month. And I have concerns what happens when I stop my subscription. But that's another topic.

Yeah - it gets devilishly expensive for the entire CC package - you likely would need the full version of Acrobat as well. I've currently got Lightroom & Photoshop - though bought CaptureOne and will continue to explore that. Unfortunately, I'm soooo used to Lightroom that I find myself resisting. As for InDesign, I stopped using that over a year ago and use Affinity Publisher instead, which is a very capable alternative and far, far cheaper. It keeps improving too. Affinity has a Illustrator alternative - Affinity Designer. It seems to be highly regarded - I'm not an Illy user so can't really comment. For Acrobat, I'm lucky enough to have access to the full version via our non-profit/TechSoup membership. I do own PDFPen Pro, however. I haven't used it lately - but seem to recall that it wasn't as good at form creation (which is one of the major things I use Acrobat for). Will have to take it out for a spin again sometime...although started it up just now and it's as slow as molasses in January.

Having just fiddled around with it some more, in general it's lame compared to Acrobat in the form creation dept. Slow, buggy, fussy...can't seem to figure out that form fields should begin at the END of the words - not over top of them. Eesh. Disappointing.

I've been looking at Affinity for a few years, BUT... my primary commercial printer does not use it yet, which means not knowing if it will print full CMYK files. Plus how will it convert InDesign CS6 files? I will keep using CS6 as long as I can on my old 24" iMac.

I always use PDFs for printing, so haven't run into the issue of the printer not using the application.
