Need help with email account

Already tried my provider with no luck.  All of a sudden my cable company email (optonline.net) is showing it is offline. I can't send mail.  I can relive it however, and I can receive AND send it on my other computer.  All the settings are identical on both computers. One of the messages I am getting is "The SMTP connection to server “mail.optonline.net” failed.Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent." Can't send from my AOL account either because I guess it is the same server, correct?  SMPT is showing offline. IMAP is okay. Can not log into it. As I said, not a problem on my other computer and all settings are the same. Any answers???? TIA
