Just curious:
We have bought our daughter the Music Teacher a brand-spankin' new Macbook Pro with the M1 chip for Christmas. She will be migrating from a 2013 Macbook Pro. I'm not sure which OS she has on it, I'll come back later with that info in another post after she comes home today. Just wondering if anyone who's using Big Sur has used the Migration Assistant with an older version of 10.x. I am aware that Apple recommends updating to the highest version of the OS before migrating. According to Everymac.com, her old machine could go as high as 10.15.x She has resisted my efforts to upgrade her OS, so if I don't have to I won't.
