« on: October 19, 2021, 05:00:28 PM »
It was working and it is printing via my iphone, however I have now come up against this problem on my laptop and am exasperated.
I have become disconnected from the wireless network on my laptop - ON screen HP Smart wants to use your confidential information stored in "HP Smart-HPConnected-digiteum@hushmail.com" in your keychain. To allow this, enter the "login" keychain password.

1. Can I assume you have an email account at hushmail.com?

2. If you do, what happens if you provide your Keychain password?
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Have you looked in /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access? The password should be there.

Most people use their Admin/computer password. However, if you cannot remember your Keychain password, perhaps one of these links will help:
https://it.semo.edu/TDClient/93/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=665
https://www.passfab.com/keychain/reset-forgotten-apple-keychain-password-on-mac.html

Or you can try a search of your own. :D

I think the lack of a user-friendly interface for Keychain is one of the main reasons there are many password managers available. :wallbash:

 I finally followed your advice and was able to reset the keychain access.

The printer now works normally with the computer - thank you so much Xairbus!

So thankful for TS and its resident experts! They've been a big help to me.
I'm not a complete idiot -- a few parts are missing!
