Sonoma
« on: September 27, 2023, 06:01:27 AM »
Just received the notice from software update for Sonoma. Has anyone installed it yet?
After my last update when a whole lot of stuff disappeared from my Mini and was sent to cloud I'm very hesitant to update.

I never update to a new OS. Heck, I'm still on Big Sur on my iMac, Catalina on my wife's MBP and my Mac mini (running a particular app [24/7/365] that needs replacing a driver even for Ventura).

What's the rush? :dntknw:

With rare exceptions, most Mac apps seem happy with Sonoma Read this carefully. "Rare" does not mean that it won't bite you.

Thanks for the link. It would appear that I have none of the apps mentioned that are having difficulties. Always a plus.
I think I'll ride it out a bit for now with the current OS.

You made a wise decision. My iMac cannot run Sonoma, but if it could, I would also wait a bit. In the meantime, you can check out app compatibility at https://roaringapps.com
