software update issue
« on: September 30, 2025, 07:45:20 AM »
Software Update constantly has a reminder to update my Apple Account Settings. When I click Continue, all I get is a notice that says "Updating Your Account". This notice then disappears and Software Update still has the reminder. How do I fix this? SU also says "Some account services require you to sign in again" but it gives no further information.

I solved this by signing into my iCloud account and syncing some things.

Great! Thanx for the follow-up! I'm always happy when our members fix "some things"! :laughhard:
Signing back in (to what you should and the system should already know about) is often a quick fix for "some things". :p
Sometimes a simple (as opposed to a COMplicat-ed) Restart helps to slap the OS up-side-the-head!
Sometimes plugging in the monitor cures the 'blank/black screen' problem. Apple fixed that by including a built-in monitor for the iMac. :wallbash:
And now, back to the required forum topic: "We need Some Humor"  :thanx:
