os Mojave how to disable grid...?

Cherching the Net can't find a way to disable  grid whith mojave ..? can't find tjhis option 

How do I disable grid alignment on my Mac?
To disable this feature, right-click on your desktop, select "View", then "Show display options". Then uncheck the "Align on grid" option.

Can you help me...

I'm running Monterey but I think the usual way is to click on the desktop to get to Finder. Then go up to View in the Menubar at top. You should see "View Options". When that window opens look at your choices and select whatever turns off any grid options. Experiment to see which works for you.

That's not the Finder.  Click on the desktop. Now look at upper left corner of menubar at top. It should say Finder (or the French translation). Now look to the right for "View" (Vue?). Click on that. There should be a drop down window with several options and one should say something like "View Options" (in French or course). Click on that and you should get a new window with a way to turn on/off the grid.

I don't know what "Grid" means, I assume that is something like Icon View? I've never used that view...

No wonder you can't see the "View" menu! You've got your Mac running in French! Well, there's your problem!!
Oh wait! I do see what you are talking about! However, when you click on your Desktop, you probably will be in Finder. However, there will still be a "View" or "Présentation" menu and near the bottom is an item called "View Options" ⌘ J. You will have to translate that to french yourself. "Voir les options"? In the little window that pops up, you can adjust the grid spacing, etc.

Once in Finder, don't click on the Apple, click on "Presentation" as Jim said. That is where you will find something like "options de vue".  That should give you a window like Jim posted where you can turn off the grid setting.

 Even if   i can't find that option ..now  by tweacking, i can move the icons  freely
now i got to decrease the size of the icons...
Thought it would be easier to find an on/of...

Not sure why you use Icon View but you could see a lot more of them by reducing their "Taille desôcnes" to something less than 124 pixels. I also like to have the icon titles just below the icon "En bas" rather than beside them "Ádroite". Your choice, of course.
