Hi Marcel,

    My son and I have a standing date every year to see the next in the series.  When he was a young boy, he read the whole set and encouraged me to read it too. I have really enjoyed the movie versions.

I can't wait to see the next installment.

Yeah, I saw that already, Kelly.  It is actually the extended versions of both movies.  Pretty cool.  Thinking that 6.5 hours in a theater is a very long time.

I bought the first Special Edition on dvd (the ones they will show in theater in USA now, don't think europe will follow).
I'm waiting now for the second Special Edition dvd set and the last movie

Seriously, even though they are usually very lengthy movies, the plot moves you along so quickly that the time seems to go by so quickly.

BTW, Cox Cable showed the first two installments over the Summer.

Wish I was on your Island right now - it's very cold in Rhode Island already!

Sorry I didn't see your post until today.

I have been celebrating my Birthday with lots of company flowing in and out of my house and the telephone ringing with Birthday wishes from my daughter in California.
Actually, my Birthday was yesterday. The celebration just spilled over into today.

It was so nice to have all my children their spouses and my grandchildren visit.

I really didn't expect it so it was a nice surprise.

Time for me to try to get some

Love the trailer - movie should be freaking awesome.

We have our copy of the DVD/Platinum Series Special Extended Edition/Widescreen on preorder at Amazon. Bunches cheaper this way.  

kelly thanks for the info on the theater screening. I'll make "dates" with Sneakers and we can go. Beats watching our DVD's on the little screen. Wow!
