Invisible Documents folder in OS 9
« on: October 01, 2003, 08:46:24 AM »
I'm using one of my school's iBooks and I saved an MS Word document to the Documents folder.  It seems that this is an invisible folder and I can't open the document anymore.

1. I tried File > Open in Word but Word doesn't see the Documents folder either.

2. The Recent Documents option in the Apple Menu wasn't turned on, so I can't try that.

Is there any way to make the Documents folder visible again?  Thanks.

I think it's in the General Controls Control Panel. smile.gif

Check option to Save to Documents Folder.

See if that makes it show up. smile.gif

Hi, Kelly.

Thanks, but it didn't help.  I did find File Buddy, but I don't have the right version of CarbonLib.  Then I downloaded our old friend ResEdit and I was able to make it visible again.

Thanks!!!
