Back Up User Pref 2.3.6, Any Good?
« on: March 02, 2003, 06:49:00 AM »
From the reviews at VersionTracker, it would seem that installing Back Up User Prefs 2.3.6 http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo...fo/macosx/17239 (freeware) is a wise move.

But before tempting fate, I thought it best to ask my TS friends (even Bernie) what their experiences and recommendations may be.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Harv

Harv,  I DL it and went through the extended routine until it wanted me to get into the Unix system where I felt due to limited experience, I had no business messing around. It is dialog heavy and confusing.  I chose to trash it rather than ruining a smooth running OS.

Gmann, Thanks for the feedback. That's much the conclusion I came to. But before discarding it out of hand, I wanted to see if others had successfully used it, or if Operator Error was the problem.

Maybe, when/if the interface is enhanced, we can reconsider.
