QuickTime 6.4 & iTunes 4.1

I just DL the new QT & iTunes via the System Preferences SW update pane. Seems to be another non-event. clap.gif

At least so far that's the case... whistling.gif  sweatingbullets.gif

Any noticeable improvements with the QT update?

Bill, I looked a couple of trailers and they appeared normal to me. But then, they looked normal before the update. I suppose there are improvements, but as little as I use QT, that's hardly a worthy evaluation.

With my two cans and a broken string dial up, that kind of d/ld would take way longer than I'd prefer if there really isn't that much of a difference.
Think I'll pass till I can get to my trusty local mac dealer who has dsl. <gr>

Updated both. Repaired permissions...glad I did. Disk Utility had a workout.

I don't see any difference yet...at least no problems.

Thought I read a long ago that the 4.1. update put the brakes on share streaming or something.?.

I have now watched, via QT 6.4, about an hours worth of the address His Steveness gave yesterday. No doubt my solid broadband connection helps, but the show looks and sounds like a DVD. But the window is a bit smaller... wink.gif

Harv,

Where did you find that address by Jobs?

I like to watch those.

Steve

Never mind I found it...  rolleyes.gif

DL'd QT, iTunes, & iPod updates, and now the sound controls in system preferences will not recognize my Revolution 7.1 sound card ... finally switched back to my SoundSticks + iSub via USB ... tried redownloading the drivers for the sound card to no avail.  ph34r.gif

I'm going to wait a while to update, make sure all bugs are recognized and solved.

There are a couple of issues with QT 6.4, mpeg2 playback and some other misc. issues so far on Apple Discussions.

I have updated all my Macs to iTunes 4.1, it works fine.  After the first week of fooling with iTunes Streaming, I never used it again anyways, except within my LAN.
