Verbatum CD-Rs
« on: December 29, 2003, 09:32:32 PM »
I've been looking for some Verbatim CD-Rs and can't find any. I used to buy them at BestBuy and they carried them at Sam's club also but they haven't had any for months and I can't find them anywhere. Have they gone out of business or something? wallbash.gif

Seem to be still around:

Buy.com have 'em...Amazon has them too (but more expensive).

Paddy,
I just went to Verbatim's site. Their still in business alright. I just don't want to pay $13.00 shipping on a $28.00 item! ohmy.gif  WOW.gif

Buy.com have free shipping on the Verbatim CDR's. You do have to spend $25 or more, but their prices seem good.

Verbatim DataLifePlus CD-R x50 (spindle pack) There are other combinations/permutations there too.

One thing I've decided...no more buying the darn things in jewel cases! Between coasters (I've burned a few...), and CD's that end up in our CD storage wallets (which is where I keep all software CD's - much more portable than a bunch of jewel cases!) I've ended up with a plethora of jewel cases. Besides, those nice skinny cases you can get separately are so much more compact!

Great timing with this question, Gary! I've been doing lots of burning the last few days and was going to run out for some Verbatim CD-Rs in a couple of days.

Paddy, thanks for the links. I was able to get free shipping on the 25 pack (spindle) at buy.com for only $9.99! smile.gif (I know it was free if you select the budget shipping. It had the little free shipping icon next to it. I'm not in a huge rush, so it was great for me.)

A couple of IMacs, an iPad, a bunch of iPhones...two of which don’t live here, but I still pay for. Oh yeah, wife, daughters, and yes—a grandson!

You folks have to start checking http://www.dealmac.com for these deals.

Khypermedia CD-R 100pk for $0 after rebate

I have used at least two spindles of these disks with no problems. I don't remember the last time a blank actually cost me anything.

Hey Rob,
How about those Eagles? smile.gif

It's that time of the year again! Unfortunately, the Eagles have been hit really hard with injuries. Major injuries on defense, and then on Saturday night Brian Westbrook (probably the offensive MVP this year) tore a tricep tendon. It's most likely that he'll be done for the year.  sad.gif  All things considered, for the Eagles, it's been an amazing year.   thumbup.gif

Nevertheless, I'll still be nuts for the next few weeks. The team that scares me the most in the NFC is the Pack.

So Gary, I see the Bears ("Da Bears") are coach shopping--again.   toothgrin.gif

Philly teams always seem to screw things up at the end when it counts. Maybe this years Eagles will be different.

Here in Germany they're still available in almost every computer and electronics store.
That won't probably help you much Gary, but at least they're still in business. wink.gif
