How are fonts installed in OSX? Pogue discusses them in great length and how wonderful it all is but  cant figure out exactly (key word) what to do.
I have no interest in buy some utiltity for this, thanks.
I am thinking of copying all of my 0S9 fonts, and i had collected many. Is this advisable? i did gather from his book there is no limit.

You just copy your fonts in your /user/library/Fonts folder.
My old OS 7/8/9 fonts work flawless under OS X.
