Minus 7 last night.
15 for the day's high.
Roads are ice skating rinks, light snow constantly for almost 3 days. Not much accumulation here but the mountains are getting a ton.  The ski areas all opened Thanksgiving weekend. They are a happy bunch. Suppose to get all the way up to 20 tomorrow.

Might even have a "white Xmas" this year.

Winter Storm here.

Your profile info doesn't tell us where "here" is.

Reminds me of the phone message I had yesterday: "I'm leaving now, should be there in about half an hour."

Ok, when is "now"?  wacko.gif

Central Texas is getting hammered w/ t-storms tonight, and the temp is dropping precipitously [in addition to the voluminous precipitation].

Might turn into one of our once-yearly ice storms...!

The weather that you are having in the Northwest...usually makes its way east eventually. Here in central O HI O it has been balmy. However; the storms are acomin'. Today is supposed to be balmy (60s) with thunderstorms and turn colder overnight. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid to high (30s), with 50mph winds and snow. UGHHH sad.gif

Frances I do not relish your weather...does the wind ever die down???

Actually, Gregg, Daryl's profile does say where he is: Coeur d'Alene ID smile.gif

They say the temperature may break a record here today; right now it's already 57 F. The record for Boston on this day is 68. I'm going to go wash some windows! tongue.gif

I am going out to rake and mow the grass one more time, believe it or not!
Might plant some more flowering bulbs, if I can find some in Wall Mart.

Winter hit Dallas last night. It was 80F yesterday. Now it's below freezing with sleet & snow. A few leaves left on some trees, but they will fall soon. Then when good weather returns, I'll have a lot to rake, since I live on a wooded lot.
Cheers, Tom

While writing my last post, Judy, my lovely wife, whispered for me to look out the window in front of her, "What kind of bird is this?"! I couldn't see it until in came onto our front lawn. And a car driving down the street must have seen it, also; it stopped in front of our house for several minutes as the bird made its way toward our front plantings. It was a pheasant! Never seen one around here, although we have 180 acres of field just behind our back yard. Probably stocking up on protein rich grubs before the ground gets covered by 'stuff'!
Got several pictures through a window:

Feed him some corn and he might stick around for a while!
They used to call them Ring Necked Pheasants around here, oh are they pretty!
We used to have a lot of them on Cape Cod, but very few are left.
My parents had an albino one which came to their bird feeders year after year, and they gave him corn.  This was many many years ago, and he was part of a flock of them.
Somewhere we have snapshots of them, but where?
Cant put out much corn any more as we have too many crows.
That is a great picture of your pheasant!  So colorful.
