Thanks to our younger members
« on: January 08, 2007, 12:59:38 PM »
As many of you know, I'm 'grumpy' for a reason: age and experience ( lack of proper drug dosages? ). Anyway, I've made known my displeasure at the comments and attitude of some of our younger members in months past.

I am very pleased to see that they have recognized my vast wisdom and knowledge of etiquette, by upgrading the behavior I mentioned to them! blush-anim-cl.gif tongue.gif

So, in honor of their super behavior and the new year, I want to express my gratitude to the very adult ( in the good sense! ) of our younger members; especially Parker and another member who I haven't seen around for a while. Thinking.gif Perhaps someone will refresh my memory! sos.gif There may be other young members, and I would include them, if only I knew their names ( screen or otherwise ). My congratulations on your well-mannered and informative postings and the personal activities that seem well suited for any adult! Thanks! clap.gif thanx.gif

It takes a real adult to seek to change/improve his behavior! Congrats to the ones who visit TS!

When I saw the title to your post "Thanks to our younger members, ...from an older one!" and not knowing your age, I'm not sure where I fit in.
Cheers, Tom

Were you one of those guys in the boat? One of them said it was pretty windy. The next one said, "No its not. It's Thursday!" The last one said, "Me too, give me another beer!" wacko.gif  coolio.gif

TSBear, or kbear?

Add me to those who've been impressed with the response to some public advice given on these pages. tiphat.gif

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Where's the bear?  smile.gif

In the woods?  tongue.gif  Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Being younger than ABD (okay, so it's only by a few years), I say ... THANKS for the kind words, ABD!  tongue.gif  harhar.gif  rofl.gif

I know there's one younger member who isn't here much anymore because I ... uhh ... had a grumpy moment.  oops.gif I apologized, but sometimes that doesn't make it all better.  sad.gif So I'll join ABD in lauding our younger members who tolerate those of us who aren't quite so young. wink.gif

As to why I'm sometimes grumpy, you'll have to ask Sneakers.  biggrin.gif

Where's the bear?

Reminds me of a party I attended, maybe 25 yrs ago, w/ a new friend who hailed from the Boston, MA area.

Standing at a drinks cooler he called to me, "Hey Bay-ah, wanna Bee-ah?"

Can we blame that on the Brits, from whom we inherited such a weird set of words! Hey, if you can't find some one else to blame for your problems, you're not trying hard enough! flower-smilie.gif

Could be, I know he was a close friend of Parker's. I hope he's just busy with school and other interests.

My husband has a bright green T-shirt that says "Older than Dirt"  in bright orange letters, and has gotten great comments on it!
His little sister sent it to him.
