I wouldn't trust a 'broken' forum to do the cookie deleting. Any good browser should be able to find and delete a specific set of cookies. Some may force you to delete every cookie you have. You get what you pay for.

It was free! tongue.gif:

Gregg, you should have a way to manage your cookies within your browser. It should be somewhere in the Tools menu.

See if you can get there, and then delete anything from Tech Survivors.

Then, clear your cache (again) and see if that helps.

Yeah, I knew the brower prefs had a cookie manager. I just hadn't been in there for quite awhile. It seems to be quicker now, but the "Quote +" feature was a bit slower than it used to be. Maybe that's the OS9 penalty I have to pay.

Jennie I'll have to do it to iCab in another session. Time for dinner! yum.gif

Re: Highmac's comment on the links that should be horizontal but are displayed vertically in OS9.

I realized that was happening after testing the new setup but there isn't anything that can be done (that I know) to change that. I think it's a matter of having to use an older browser in OS 9 rather than 9 itself.

I'm 99% sure I see those buttons "where they belong" in Mozilla, and I'm pretty sure iCab "puts them in there place" as well.
Since I'm at work now, I can't check.

I've checked with iCab 3.03... I get the same thing happening with the edit buttons... full and quick edit buttons show up to the left, full edit works but quick edit doesn't. The Forum Options work fine though here.

I also find the smileys don't work in the normal reply box, but in the fast reply box... you can click on the icon for them in the menu and a new tab opens with them all there.

iCab has a few quirks about it however I'd probably recommend it to anyone who asked using OS9... I don't know about Mozilla as I've never used it. I hope it still works for you! smile.gif

Mozilla still works better for me than the "new" (to me) version of iCab. Mozilla is faster, and more of the features of web pages seem to behave normally.

Auto login does not for me. I cleared cookies and cache but still no joy. Does antone have any ideas as to how to get auto login working again?

Have you done the clearing while logged IN at TS or while all windows to the site are closed?

there are ways to rectify this in the settings of the board, but I'm afraid it will cause the entire board to have to reset cookies.  If fact, I may just have done that, trying to see if it is possible.

I can shut down the entire board, remove all cookies from everyone, and let each person start over, and everyone will have a new cookie from TS, starting off with a prefix of ipb_

Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.
