Wanted - someone to shop for me in the US!
« on: August 06, 2008, 02:47:44 PM »
Is there anyone out across the pond who could buy me a specific pair of Converse All Star Stars.

You can find out where your nearest Converse store is by going to this manic website - Converse Shoes

In Size UK 7.

You just can't get them over here.  Not that design and my 13 year old daughter wants them desperately.

PM  me if you would be happy to go on the search.  I would be forever grateful and happy to reimburse expenses.

Cheers
Frances and Flossie

I checked my area but no store within 50 miles carries that item. It does say in the online page that International shipping is available. Can't you just order it online?

I checked the store locator, but to know if a particular item is in stock, I figured I'd have to call or go there.... huh.gif

I bought sneakers last weekend at Famous Footwear in Lawrence.  I looked pretty heavily at all the sneakers displayed (quite a bit of Converse) and didn't see those and I'd have thought they would've stood out.  I'll call around to local stores here in Topeka for you!

According to the Store Locator on the Converse website, no store within 50 miles of Indianapolis, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, or New York City has this shoe in stock.

I concur that your only recourse is to order direct from Converse.

Ok, what am I missing? When I go to Retail Locator under Help & Info, I get a search page that only locates a retailer that carries their products. I do not see where to enter a specific product in order to determine who has it in stock. dntknw.gif

1. Go to converse.com

2. Search for SKU No. (104528F)

3. Click on image of shoe

4. Click on US Retail Locator (lower right)

5. Enter Zip Code and distance

No joy. I keep getting "cannot find" message. I love shopping online so much that I'm going to keep trying the same thing over and over until I'm completely dehydrated and fall off my chair from over-exertion.

Here's an idea.  Buy a pair of all black high Converse. Buy small stars from stationery store.  She can customize them herself.

Justa guess: have you tried another browser?

I periodically find certain sites that don't work properly in Firefox but work fine in Safari, or vice-versa.

ROFLOL!!!!!!

I'm trying to work this out, but I like the idea of customizing Sneakers with stickers. Think he'd go along with that? HAHAHAHA
