Those snapping turtles are dangerous, they sure can bite.
Yes, I know about sound travelling in water, as I did a lot of scuba diving in my younger days. The noises in a calm tropical sea are quite interersting.
And listened to the SOFAR station hydrophones off Argus Island, about 200 miles south of Bermuda.

and on the weekends we would get together with some of the Lamont students there, and drink and party.
Listening thru those hydrophones was just amazing, you could hear ships thousands of miles away!
